The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) defines the entrepreneurial mindset as a set of skills that enable people to identify and make the most of opportunities, overcome and learn from setbacks, and succeed in a variety of settings. Why is the entrepreneurial mindset so important to learn? Research shows that an entrepreneurial mindset is valued by employers, boosts educational attainment and performance, and is crucial for creating new businesses.

Student Programs

CO.STARTERS Generator
CO.STARTERS Generator is a self-paced modular program that helps teens in grades 8-12 explore their passions through generating, testing, and launching ideas.

Next generation Of Work (NOW)
Next generation Of Work (NOW) is a Teamship program built to help the next generation of talent get better at collective problem solving. Squads of three to four diverse students, coached by NOW mentors, will work together to solve a real problem for a real business and propose a solution that will be pitched to the business partner at a public Pitch Event. NOW is open to 10th, 11th, 12th graders in Southern Virginia.

Student Idea Summit
The Student Idea Summit is an experiential learning event designed for students to share creative ideas and social innovations, practice entrepreneurship mindset and innovative thinking, and meet and network with entrepreneurs and business people from Southern Virginia.
