Support Entrepreneurship in Southern Virginia
RISE offers a variety of ways for individuals and organizations to get involved in growing our region’s entrepreneur ecosystem. Whether you’re looking for paid contractor work, volunteer opportunities, creative projects, or partnership and sponsorship collaborations, you can play a role in helping small businesses and innovators succeed.
Contractor Roles (Paid)
Work as an independent contractor with flexible, project-based assignments. Options include Business Navigator and Ecosystem Builder roles, each focused on specific deliverables on behalf of RISE. These roles set their own schedules, work remotely or in the community, and are paid per deliverable or via retainer agreements.
RISE also works with creative professionals on a project basis to capture and share the stories of entrepreneurs across the region. Opportunities include event photography, promotional videography, graphic design, and other creative services that highlight Southern Virginia’s growing entreprenuerial and innovation assets.
RISE also works with other consultants on an as-needed basis on project-based assignments.

Partnership Opportunities
Collaborate with RISE to deliver programs, workshops, and events that benefit the regional entrepreneur ecosystem. Sponsorship Opportunities
Support RISE programs through financial or in-kind contributions while gaining visibility in Southern Virginia’s business and innovation community. Sponsorships help fund events like the RISE Summit, student entrepreneurship activities, and targeted training for business owners.

Volunteer Opportunities
