The City of Danville and Pittsylvania County, Virginia are located in Southern Virginia, on the border of Virginia and North Carolina. The City of Danville sits on the fall line of the Dan River, and is surrounded by Pittsylvania County on three sides, and Caswell County, North Carolina to the south. The DPC region includes the intersection of Highway 58 and Highway 29. As of the 2020 census, the combined population of DPC was 103,091 (the City of Danville population was 42,590 [Wikipedia] and the Pittsylania County population was 60,501 [Wikipedia]).
